Floating Blue Plate "Blue No.2"

Side plate thrown on the potter's wheel, using a flecked clay body and glazed with a variegated floating blue. Channelling the calmness of Rothko colourfield paintings. 
Lovely accompaniment to any meal or snack.
 
Measures 185mm in diameter and 10mm depth.
 
Note: there is a small thumb-sized patch on the underside of the plate where the glaze had rubbed off enroute to the kiln. It does not affect the function of the plate.
